My Backlog of UNEDITED Digital Files on My Computer is NO More! I am Completely Caught Up with my Digital Image File Backlog.

☆ Of course, I have several new digital image files on an SD Card, in my Camera; However, this editing process of the dusty digital files in my computer, has taken more than a full year to clear.

How backlogged are you in your digital photography?

Do you continuously just add more and more digital files to a massive heap of digital files, hoping one day to clear them all out? Or are you like me, and say,

“No, I’m not going to continue taking so many photographs when I already have so many that are worth my attention!”

I think it is an incredibly important task to clear your already composed images. You obviously took them for a reason, so work on those with some priority.

“When I get behind in my photo-editing, I normally only do photography if there is a very special subject I must capture. Otherwise, my mind will go into FULL Editing-Mode, until I am somewhat caught up, and then, I go back into, Photography-Mode. That’s how I like to work.”

As far as any backlog on my computer goes, this “Abstract Tree Bark #1” is the LAST digital photo file on my computer intended as a Fine Art Photographic product, and it is now Available For Sale as a High-Quality Fine Art Print, at:

Looking for interesting subjects in the macro-world!

Sometimes, it takes me a VERY LONG TIME to get to my destination because I am always macroscopicly searching the ground for unusual subjects to photograph.

Serendipity is the key…subjects just show themselves to me. I stop….I photograph. I usually wish I had brought along my tripod, but I rarely lug that around, but I should. People brag about how they can hand-hold the camera using super low shutter speeds and that photos are tack sharp.

Ah, yeah, right. Each time your heart beats, your hand moves ever so slightly causing your camera to move also. At normal zoom looking at the photos, everything may seem perfect, and your Vibration Reduction A.I. in the camera can do wonders, but nothing beats using a heavy and sturdy tripod. The closer you get to the subject, the more difficult it becomes to focus on it, and keep it in-focus (i.e. Using Macro or Micro lenses, extension tubes, or bellows). Period.

“For me, the focus of the photograph is sometimes ‘the other subject’, not what you would typically think of as the ‘main subject’. In the case of this image, the main subject was the soap bubbles. What caught my eye first, was the other subject, the geometric shadows the soap bubbles created in the green dishwashing soap. And also, the repetitive abstraction it created was interesting to me.”
